    I got called 6 times in the last 3 business days. I called the number posted here and have been removed from the marketing list. What kind of company sets up an autodialler to hang up on people. If you don't have the staff to take the call, turn the damn thing off!!!!!!!!! What a pain in the ass!!!! Thank you Commonwealth Bank Australia!!!

    I phoned the number Elizabeth gave in her posting and spoke to a very helpful person who tracked where the calls had been coming from (a telemarking company via the CBA bank). She explained that it's an automated dialling system which places the calls but they don't have enough operators to cope with the call rate. They are apparently trying to address the issue. She said she would request my work, home and mobile numbers be removed, call the bank and request that my details be noted with "no marketing". Hope this helps some one else, as well as me. thank you Elizabeth

    It does work if you call 02 8207 9000 and ask to be removed from their list.

    Intermittantly calls from 0291125000 are ringing 07 5433 8236. On answer there is no response. Calls to 0291125000 receive greeting then drop out. Please stop calls to 5433 8xxx as this is a Hospital.

    I too have received at least 6 calls from this number in the past week and they either hang up when I answer or do not leave a message. Once I spoke to an operator who mentioned the CBA but it was a bad line. I rang 8207 9000 as advised by the useful people on this forum and spoke to Aegon the direct marketing company and went to customer service. They were very helpful on the phone. THey confirmed they received my details from CommInsure. They also confirmed that the auto dialler their agency uses HANGS UP when you answer and THEY DO NOT HAVE AN OPERATOR AVAILABLE to talk to you. What a stupid system. It helps them and annoys the people they are calling. They will remove me from their list and advised me to advise CBA of the same.

    same here. get a call about once every couple of days. when i see it i just send them straight to message bank so at least they get charged for connecting. of course they never leave a message. just make sure ur phone service provider doesnt charge u with receiving messages.

    Called this company AEGON direct marketing to complain and have my number removed from the list after receiving approx 6 missed calls a day, answering about twice a day and having the caller hang up. They advised that they sell insurance products for the major banks. Called my major bank - Commonwealth (determined to be different!!!), who started off claiming that they don't outsource their marketing until I mentioned the name of the company AEGON direct. Then admitted that names and numbers were given out by CommInsure and that the company was employed to sell insurance products. Have, hopefully, now had my name permanently removed from their calling list!

    Get phonecalls from this number up to five times per day. I rang 8207 9000 (as suggested by someone else on this forum) - asked for customer service and had my number removed from their database - easy!

    i rang these lowlife (02 8207 9000),asked them if they are doing telemarketing for the CBA,girl says yes they are.i told her what i thought of their bloody annoying telemarketing.i HOPE she was upset.!!

    Caller claimed to be calling on behalf of Commonwealth Bank - CBA said they know nothing about it. BEWARE!! Ask them how they got your details!!!!

    Keep calling constantly on the odd occassion they do answer n not hang up they say they are from TRU. Wish they would stop calling it is really annoying.

    I hear all of you!!!! Same story over here with millions of missed calls from this weird number at the strangest of times. What can we do to stop this and how the hell do they get my number??? I have heard that there are scam places that can access personal info like bank details, etc. Any suggestions to rid this pain in my ass???

    I have been having the same problem as others who have made complaints via this website. On the latest occasion I answered and actually spoke to someone. The number is a Commonwealth Bank call centre.

    This number calls my phone several times daily.This has been occuring for the last two weeks. Not only do I want it to stop but I am firmly of the belief all telemarketers should be traded in an international prisoner exchange program for all the drug dealers in overseas prisons.At least drug dealers have the common courtesy to not continually hound and badger a person who wants nothing to do with their product.

    This number calls my mobile up to 2 times a day with no one on the other end and when i calle dit back all I recieved was a recorded message. When you find them, be sure to give me their private number so that they too can experience the joy of harassment.

    Automated machine called me 3 times a day for several weeks. Answer and there's no one there. Seems to have stopped as of 5/11/08. There is a thread on Who Calls Me about this - it calls so many people! I have no idea why they haven't been stopped already.

    Since Monday, 3 November 08 I have received a call from this number twice, sometimes three times a day. My mobile provider cannot block it because it's a landline. I did answer once and just received a beeping noise. Tried calling and got the recording message. Now not answering it at all. Any ideas how to get rid of it. It's annoying more than anything.

    THIS NUMBER [0291125000] PHONES MY MOBILE AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY. I CANCEL THE CALL WITHOUT ANSWERING IT EVERY TIME. [I DON'T ANSWER CALLS FROM UNKNOWN NUMBERS] YESTERDAY AFTER KILLING THE 2ND CALL AT ABOUT 6PM I SWITCHED OFF MY PHONE FOR THE EVENING. WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON THIS MORNING I FOUND I HAD 2 MORE MISSED CALLS FROM THE SAME NUMBER (AT 6:34 & 7:44PM) DON'T THESE PEOPLE EVER GIVE UP? WHEN I PHONED THE NUMBER TO COMPALIN ABOUT THIS HARRASSMENT I GOT A RECORDED MESSAGE THAT SAID "YOU MAY BE CONTACTED AGAIN" & HUNG UP. THIS MUST BE ILLEGAL SURELY?? I HAVE REGISTERED WITH www.donotcall.gov.au . ANOTHER COMPLAINT SITE GAVE ME AN E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR THE MARKETING COMPANY gavin.tarbitt@adms-asia.com.au BUT I AM RELUCTANT TO E-MAIL THEM AS I DON'T WANT TO BE BOMBARDED WITH UNWANTED E-MAILS TOO.
