Keeps calling Monday-Friday. Claiming to be Optus... Usually between 1000-1600hrs. The twice I have answered the idiots the speech is something like "Sir, My Name is Idiot and I am calling on behalf of Optus to offer you a special promotional deal...." At this point I've been "Like wow, hang on I'll get a pen to write this down..." and put the phone down and walk away. Longest they've stayed on the line is 2:37 the first time the 2nd time they hung up after 40seconds. But they keep calling anyway.

These numbers call everyday they never leave a message and some times only let it ring once.....this has started happening after I placed an add on a site to try and sell my car and have had alot of fake emails and interest regarding this...I'm starting to think its linked!

They are getting sneaky now. The number comes up as "overseas" so you can't recognize the number. I answered it once, and now I don't pick up. They have tried to ring me 5 times today!!!!

I have been charge $13.97 for an information call to 1900999899 that was never made. When I inquired with Telstra about this they could not give me any information re who the number was directed to. What can you do about this? I'm now going to go over the last few accounts to see how often I've been charged this bogus amount. More fool me for not checking earlier.
